Terms of Service

Last updated: November 1, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you (“you” or the “Client”) and Solution Hippo, LLC (“SolutionHippo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a managed WordPress hosting provider serving clients. By purchasing, accessing, or using our hosting and related services (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Service Level Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. The Services

SolutionHippo provides managed WordPress hosting, including server infrastructure, security hardening and monitoring, performance tuning, software updates, backups, and hands-on support. We offer Managed WordPress plans, Store (WooCommerce) plans, Dedicated plans, and Enterprise plans. The specific plan, resources, and price that apply to you are set out in the order or quote you accept when you sign up.

2. Your Account

You must provide accurate account information, be at least 18 years old, and be able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@solutionhippo.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services to host, transmit, or link to anything unlawful or harmful. Prohibited uses include, without limitation:

  • Illegal content or activity, or content that infringes another party’s intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Malware, phishing, or anything designed to harm, probe, or gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
  • Unsolicited bulk email (spam), or use of the Services in a way that gets our mail or network resources blocklisted.
  • Content that is defamatory, harassing, or that sexually exploits minors.
  • Activity that disproportionately degrades platform performance for other clients, or that attempts to circumvent plan resource limits.
  • Reselling or sublicensing the Services without our written agreement.

You are responsible for the conduct of anyone you allow to use your account, including your own users and developers.

4. Fees, Billing, Auto-Renewal, and Cancellation

Fees are set out in your order or quote. You may pay monthly or annually; annual billing is twelve (12) months at the same monthly rate, with no discount and no premium. Plans renew automatically at the start of each new term unless you cancel first, and you authorize us to charge your payment method on file for renewals. Your rate does not change at renewal while you stay on the same plan. If you change plans, the new plan is billed at its current price.

There are no long-term contracts and no early-termination penalty; you may cancel at any time and your plan will stop renewing. We do not offer a cash refund or money-back guarantee. If you leave within the first twelve (12) months, the one-time onboarding and migration fee set out in your service quote, which we waive for clients who stay at least twelve (12) months, becomes payable. Where there is no quote, the onboarding and migration fee is $1,200 for Managed WordPress and $2,400 for Store. Prepaid time, non-refundable fees, and how cancellation affects your billing are described in full in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Fees are exclusive of taxes, which you are responsible for. If a bill for a monthly plan is not paid within four (4) days of its due date, a one-time $10 late fee is added to that bill. Bills that include an annual plan are not charged a late fee. Overdue amounts may lead to suspension after reasonable notice.

5. Uptime and Service Level Agreement

We commit to uptime, measured monthly, at a level that depends on your plan: 99.5% on Managed WordPress plans, 99.5% on Store (WooCommerce) plans, 99.9% on Dedicated plans, and 99.99% on Enterprise plans. The figure for your plan is the floor we stand behind; every plan carries a written commitment, not only our most expensive tier. Dedicated and Enterprise plans additionally receive higher-touch, priority handling.

Staging and non-production environments. Any staging, development, or test environment we provide is offered only on request and on a temporary basis for a specific piece of work. It is non-production and provided “as is,” with no uptime commitment and no Service Credit, and may be refreshed or removed once the work it was created for is done. It is not a standing copy of your site, is not intended for live traffic, and must not be your only copy of anything. The uptime commitment above applies to production sites only.

To keep that commitment measurable and fair, the following are not counted as downtime against your plan’s uptime commitment:

  • Scheduled maintenance for which we give reasonable advance notice.
  • Events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including outages at upstream network or cloud providers.
  • Downtime caused by your own code, plugins, themes, customizations, DNS configuration, or third-party services you connect to your site.
  • Periods during which we are actively mitigating a denial-of-service attack or other security event affecting your site.
  • Suspension or termination of your account under these Terms.

If we miss your plan’s uptime commitment in a billing month, your remedy is a service credit: a pro-rated credit of that month’s plan fee for the qualifying downtime, applied to a future invoice. Service credits are not paid out in cash and are the sole and exclusive remedy for missed uptime. To request a credit, contact us through your SolutionHippo dashboard within 30 days of the affected month. The full method for calculating credits is set out in our Service Level Agreement; if there is any conflict between this section and the SLA, the SLA controls for the credit calculation.

6. Your Content and Responsibilities

You own your website content and data, and you are responsible for it. In particular, you are responsible for:

  • The legality of your content and your compliance with laws that apply to your business, including privacy and consumer-protection laws.
  • Holding valid licenses for the plugins, themes, and other software you install or ask us to install, and complying with their license terms. We can supply and manage certain premium licenses on your behalf where offered; otherwise licensing is your responsibility.
  • The accuracy of your DNS and any third-party integrations you control.
  • Maintaining your own records; while we keep rolling backups as described in our Privacy Policy and SLA, you should not rely on our backups as your only copy of critical data.

You grant us the limited right to access, store, copy, and process your content solely as needed to provide and support the Services. For personal data within your site, we act as your processor under our Data Processing Addendum.

7. Maintenance, Updates, and Our Operational Rights

As a managed host, we apply server, WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates, security patches, and configuration changes to keep your site secure and performant. Where an update carries meaningful risk, we test and stage it first and coordinate with you where practical. We may take immediate action — including applying an emergency patch, disabling a compromised or vulnerable component, or temporarily restricting a feature — when necessary to protect your site, other clients, or the platform, and we will let you know when we do.

8. Third-Party Software and Services

The Services incorporate open-source and third-party software, including WordPress and the plugins and themes you use, and rely on third-party providers such as those named in our Privacy Policy. Your use of third-party software is governed by its own licenses and terms, and we are not responsible for third-party products or for changes those providers make to their own services.

9. Intellectual Property

You keep all rights to your content. We keep all rights to our platform, tooling, documentation, and brand. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of one party’s intellectual property to the other. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve the Services without obligation to you.

10. Disclaimers

Except as expressly stated in these Terms and our SLA, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” and we disclaim all other warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free beyond the uptime commitment above, or that any security measure will prevent every attack.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, arising out of or relating to the Services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will not exceed the total fees you paid to us for the Services in the three (3) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SolutionHippo and its owners and personnel from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs (including attorneys’ fees) that arise from your content, your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or your infringement of another party’s rights.

13. DMCA and Copyright

We respect intellectual-property rights and respond to valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content we host infringes your copyright, send a written notice with the information the DMCA requires to our designated agent at support@solutionhippo.com. We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material and will terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate cases.

14. Suspension and Termination

You may cancel at any time as described in Section 4 and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. We may suspend or terminate your Services if you materially breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, fail to pay after reasonable notice, or if your use threatens the security or stability of the platform. Where practical we will give notice and an opportunity to cure; where the risk is urgent we may act first and notify you promptly. On termination your right to use the Services ends; fees already paid are non-refundable and outstanding amounts remain due. After your account closes, your data is removed from active servers and backups age out on the schedule in our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Solution Hippo, LLC is organized and maintains its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any formal action, the parties agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally by contacting each other; most concerns are resolved this way within 30 days. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in that state, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the dashboard. Changes take effect when posted (or on a later stated date), and your continued use of the Services after that means you accept the updated Terms.

17. General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Service Level Agreement, and any order or quote, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Notices to you may be sent to the email on your account; notices to us should go to the address below.
