Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: August 24, 2026
SolutionHippo has hosted and supported WordPress websites. This policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for SolutionHippo hosting services provided by Solution Hippo, LLC. It applies to all of our hosting plans and forms part of our Terms of Service.
The Short Version
We keep hosting low-risk in a way we think is fairer than a money-back gimmick. There are no long-term contracts and you can cancel any time. Your migration and hands-on setup are free. We do not offer a cash refund or a money-back guarantee; instead, you simply stop paying when you leave, and you are never locked in.
No Long-Term Contracts — Cancel Any Time
Every SolutionHippo hosting plan is month-to-month or year-to-year with no minimum commitment and no early-termination penalty. You may cancel at any time by emailing support@solutionhippo.com or from the Support tab of your dashboard. When you cancel, we turn off your plan’s automatic renewal so that you are not billed again.
Monthly and Annual Billing
You choose whether to pay monthly or annually. Annual billing is simply twelve (12) months charged at the same monthly rate — there is no annual discount and no annual premium. Because the price is identical either way, clients who value maximum flexibility usually choose monthly billing, while clients who prefer a single yearly invoice choose annual. Either choice is fine, and neither costs more than the other.
Prepaid Time When You Cancel
When you cancel, your hosting remains active through the end of the period you have already paid for, and then it stops renewing. We do not provide cash refunds for unused time.
If you prepaid for an annual term and cancel partway through, your sites stay fully hosted and supported until the end of that paid year, after which the plan ends unless you choose to renew. Because annual billing costs exactly the same as paying monthly, no client ever pays a premium for choosing one option over the other.
Free Onboarding, Migration, and Tuning
When you join SolutionHippo, we migrate your site or sites to our platform and hand-tune performance, caching, and security at no additional charge. This onboarding work has a real one-time cost that we absorb as our investment in a lasting hosting relationship.
If you leave SolutionHippo within the first twelve (12) months of service, the one-time onboarding and migration fee set out in your service quote — which we waive for clients who stay at least twelve (12) months — becomes payable. Where there is no quote, the onboarding and migration fee is $1,200 for Managed WordPress and $2,400 for Store. This is a recovery of setup work we already performed and waived for you; it is not a cancellation penalty, and it never applies to clients who have been with us for twelve (12) months or longer.
One-Time Fees, Overages, and Third-Party Costs
One-time fees are non-refundable. Examples include, but are not limited to, paid migrations beyond standard onboarding and infrastructure upgrades provisioned to handle a large-scale traffic event. Malware cleanup is not a one-time fee: it is included for sites we host and for sites that are moving to us.
Amounts we pay to third parties on your behalf — such as domain registrations or renewals, premium plugin or theme licenses, paid SSL certificates, or add-on services you request — are non-refundable once incurred, even if the charge was initially waived as part of a promotion.
If any overage or one-time fee is unpaid when you cancel, it remains due and payable, and any such amount may be deducted from account credits before your account is closed.
Service Credits for Downtime
Our uptime commitment is handled separately from refunds. If we miss the uptime target described in our Service Level Agreement, the remedy is a service credit applied to a future invoice, as set out in that agreement. Service credits are not paid out in cash.
Billing Questions and Chargebacks
If you believe you have been billed in error, please contact us at support@solutionhippo.com first — we resolve billing questions quickly and fairly. Opening a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us may result in suspension of the affected services until the matter is resolved.
Cancellation for Policy Violations
If we suspend or terminate your account for a violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, fees already paid are non-refundable and any outstanding balance remains due.
